life compared to people who don ’ t shop until the item they want goes on sale or becomes a necessity . What ’ s more , the spenders were happier with their financial life than savers . One possible reason ? Studies show that when we wait for the ideal moment and delay gratification , we miss out on the right-now pleasure we get from splurging .
